Details
This is a two-day private lesson to learn the basics of portrait sculpting. The first session is 4 hours long on Monday Sept 28 and will focus on learning how to take measurements, create simple armatures, and build a life size portrait sculpture from printed photos that the participant brings in. Please bring photos of multiple views of the same head. The second session is the following day on September 29 and is 2 hours long. During the second day you will focus on hollowing out the piece, adding details and doing surface treatment. This class is for practice only. You will not be keeping any materials used or anything that is made or sculpted during this workshop.

If you cancel your registration more than 2 weeks before the start of the event you will receive a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made 2 weeks or less before the event starts. No refunds will be given for no-shows. All refunds are subject to a 15% fee. The base fee of $300 is for a single person for two sessions that are each up to two hours long. All participants must be over the age of 16. Each participant must sign the participant waiver and agree to the studio policies before the event begins. Pieces will be ready for pick up 6-8 weeks after the event ends. The participant who booked the event will be notified via email when their groups pieces are ready for pick up. Participants can choose the glaze colors that they want their pieces to be.
