Matcha Bowl and Tasting Experience

During this three hour workshop you will get immersed in the world of making matcha. The class will start with a discussion about the tradition of matcha, its preparation, and how the bowl contributes to the experience. The instructor will then lead you through a matcha making and tasting experience. Try whisking matcha in two different types of bowls to see what bowl style bowl you want to make. You will get to make your own matcha latte to experience and appreciate the ceremony of matcha in handmade bowls. Then head over to the pottery wheel to learn how to make your own matcha bowl! You'll walk through all of the steps of throwing and shaping a bowl on the pottery wheel. No prior experience is required. Must be 18 or older to register. Pieces will be glazed in a color of your choice and will be ready for pick up 6-8 weeks after the event.
Terms and Conditions
If you cancel your registration more than 2 weeks before the start of class you will receive a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made 2 weeks or less before class starts. No refunds will be given for missed class days. All refunds are subject to a 15% fee. You must be 18 or older to register for a workshop. No food or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the studio. Pieces will be ready to pick up 6-8 weeks after the date of the class. You will be emailed with pick up instructions when your pieces are ready!
